In addition Miramax Films and Ruby Films, in a co-production with FilmFour, are to make a movie of Young Stalin. Alison Owen (Elizabeth and the forthcoming The Other Boleyn Girl) of Ruby Films is the producer, Pawel Pawlikowski (My Summer of Love) is to direct and John Hodge (Trainspotting, Shallowgrave and The Beach) is the screenwriter.
Simon Sebag Montefiore has also just been awarded the Bruno Kreisky Prize (Vienna) for Political Literature for Young Stalin.
